An Appalachian Christmas Carol

An Appalachian Christmas CarolDecember 17-18 at 7:00pm, December 19-20 at 8:00pm, and December 21st at 2:00pmYou think you know the classic Dickens "A Christmas Carol." But what if the story was set in Southeast Ohio in 1907 and old Eb Scrooge owned the local mine? What if Bob Cratchit helped organize the mine workers, and Fezziwig's holiday party took place at Stuart's Opera House with musicians playing live onstage? Brick Monkey Theater Ensemble, Southeast Ohio's professional theater company, is proud to present "An Appalachian Christmas Carol."

Rise of the Phoenix: A Benefit to Help Rebuild The Union

We are musicians. If you have been involved in the music scene like me, than you have been helped out in some way by The Union. Maybe you played your first gig there. Maybe you saw your first rock show there. Hell, maybe you had your first beer there. The point is that a lot of "firsts" have happened for so many people at The Union, including the musicians and we don't want them to end. We can't let it happen. So this is a call to all of the people, patrons, and musicians that owe some sort of gratitude towards The Union. It's time for us to group together for an old fashioned barn raising.More details to come soon...It's time for a Phoenix to rise...
